AWIS, a non-profit organization established in 1971, is dedicated to achieving equity and full participation for women in science, mathematics, engineering, and technology. AWIS publishes a variety of materials to inform girls and women about science programs and women's issues (e.g., grants/scholarship directory, mentoring models, leadership reports). AWIS has a national database of women scientists that is a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary searchable registry for use in diversifying applicant pools, award nominations, job searches, and media inquiries.
